Moorestown Friends School Alumnus Named to Forbes Entrepreneur List

In his role as president and CEO of New Jersey-based Bright Lights USA, Daniel "Dan" Farber oversees all operations and leads sales activities for the military part manufacturer and distributor. Beyond his role with Bright Lights, Dan Farber supports his alma mater, Rutgers School of Business, and the Moorestown Friends School (MFS).

MFS alumni have recently experienced success in a variety of sectors. In November 2017, Ashley Edwards, a 2008 MFS graduate, was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs list. This honor recognizes her role as CEO and co-founder of MindRight, which provides individualized mental health support and education through text messaging to young people who have experienced abuse, community violence, and poverty-related stress. She is also a recipient of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Social Change Leader Award and the 2017 Halcyon Incubator Fellowship.

After graduating from MFS, Ms. Edwards earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Yale University and, four years later, completed an MBA and master’s degree in education from Stanford University. She previously served as director of operations for Newark Prep Charter School, which was the first high school in New Jersey to incorporate online learning sessions into its curriculum. She has also developed innovative school models in India through an internship with the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation.
