CCTC Assists Children with Behavioral Struggles

The founder and CEO of Bright Lights in Barrington, New Jersey, Dan (Daniel) Farber has a degree in business administration and mathematics from Rutgers University. In addition to his work in the manufacture of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and components for the armed forces, Dan Farber contributes to several philanthropic organizations, including the Children's Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC).

A nonprofit agency founded to supply children and families with behavioral health services, CCTC has brought hope into the lives of numerous individuals through a diverse range of programs that offer support, intervention, and training for those facing crises. These programs include the center's therapeutic nursery.

Serving young children with serious behavioral issues, the Therapeutic Nursery incorporates preschool education with a nurturing environment where teachers can focus on each individual and his or her needs. The staff also incorporates professional intervention techniques ranging from psychiatry to speech and dance/movement therapies.

By providing these intervention services in a structured support environment, the center hopes to prepare these children to integrate into the regular education system.
